| Obverse description | Radiate, draped bust of the usurper Quietus facing right; in some variants the bust is additionally cuirassed. The obverse legend encircles the effigy in Latin characters, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The radiate crown, characteristic of the antoninianus denomination, distinguishes the piece from the denarius. The portrait displays the typical late Roman military style of the Gallienic period. |
