| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Postumus facing right, rendered with a bearded portrait of considerable vigour and individuality characteristic of Gallic Empire coinage. The emperor wears a radiate crown, paludamentum, and visible cuirass shoulder, conveying martial authority. The circumferential legend runs around the bust within a beaded border. The portrait displays high-relief, detailed engraving with carefully articulated hair, beard, and drapery folds consistent with the Lugdunum mint style of the early Postuman period. |
