Obverse description Radiate, cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximianus facing right, rendered in the military portrait style typical of the Tetrarchic period. The radiate crown, comprising seven rays, identifies the denomination as an antoninianus. The imperial legend encircles the effigy along the periphery of the flan. The coin shows significant surface patination and wear consistent with heavy circulation.
