| Obverse description | Radiate, cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximianus facing right, rendered in the robust military style characteristic of the Tetrarchic period. The radiate crown, a distinguishing attribute of the antoninianus denomination, rises prominently above the imperial portrait. The cuirass is depicted with articulated pteryges visible at the shoulder, conveying the emperor's martial identity. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP C MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, distributed around the full periphery of the flan. A beaded border frames the design. |
