Reverse description The draped standing figure of Providentia is depicted facing left, holding a baton or wand in her extended right hand directed downward toward a globe resting at her feet, and a long sceptre in her raised left hand. The personification is rendered in the austere, hieratic style typical of Tetrarchic coinage, with drapery falling in schematic folds. The exergue contains a mint mark denoting the officina of issue. The encircling legend PROVIDENT DEOR invokes the divine foresight of the gods in support of the new Caesar.
