Reverse description A filleted thunderbolt set vertically at center, its wings and prongs radiating symmetrically to either side, flanked by a divided royal Greek legend in two vertical columns. The thunderbolt, emblematic of Zeus and of Seleucid royal authority, is rendered with bold relief against a plain field. The fillet ties are depicted hanging from the body of the thunderbolt. The surrounding Greek inscription identifies the king as Antiochos Epiphanes.
