Obverse description Central incuse field depicting a stylized bunch of grapes surmounting a crowned heraldic device, flanked by the letters Z and O — the abbreviated legend for Zofingen — positioned to the left and right of the crown respectively. The design is rendered in low relief within a recessed circular area, surrounded by a prominent beaded border encircling the entire coin. The overall composition is characteristic of late medieval Swiss municipal bracteate-style coinage, with a bold, schematic rendering typical of hammered small denomination pieces of the period.
