Reverse description As a bracteate-style piece, the reverse displays the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, with the helmeted bust and flanking initials visible in negative relief. The surface is plain and unadorned, consistent with the single-die hammered technique used for this type of small medieval gold coin. The irregular flan edges are characteristic of hand-cut planchets typical of 14th-century Swiss mint production.
