Obverse description Bracteate type featuring the arms of Zürich — a per pale shield divided diagonally with diagonal barry pattern — displayed centrally within a plain inner border. The letter 'Z', an abbreviation for Zürich, appears above the shield's chief, flanked on either side by a small rosette in the field. The design is struck in low relief characteristic of billon bracteate coinage of the period.
