| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra of Sultan Abdülmecid I, rendered in fine calligraphic relief with characteristic sweeping loops and vertical strokes. A small floral ornament or rosette device appears to the upper right of the tughra. The design occupies most of the flan within a plain raised border, consistent with early Tanzimat-era Ottoman coinage style. |

| Reverse description | Multiple lines of Arabic-script inscription arranged within a central cartouche, denoting the mint name Kostantiniyye (Constantinople) and the regnal year. Below the cartouche, the AH date 1255 is prominently displayed in Arabic numerals. The legend identifies the place of striking and the accession year of the sultan, framed by a plain raised border. |
