| Obverse description | Facing right, the heroic head of Herakles rendered in high relief, the hero clad in the scalp of the Nemean lion, its open jaws framing his forehead and the knotted forepaws draped at the neck. The hair is rendered in thick, flowing locks typical of the Erythraian civic bronze coinage of the Hellenistic period. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with hammered production. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | In the central field, a facing head of Herakles, turned slightly to the right, wearing the Nemean lion skin. Flanking the central head, the magistrate's name is inscribed in Greek: AΛKEMΩN to the left and EΠIKPATOY (genitive of Epikrates, indicating filiation) to the right, with the civic ethnic ΕΡΥ (abbreviated form of ΕΡΥΘΡΑΙΩΝ) also present. To the left of the central device, a club is depicted horizontally; to the right, a bow within a bowcase. The composition is characteristic of the autonomous civic bronze coinage of Erythrai in Ionia during the Hellenistic period. |
