| Obverse description | Irregular hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend occupying the central field, reading the ruler's titles and name: Sultan Qaplan Giray Khan, son of Selim Giray Khan. The script is executed in a bold, somewhat crude hand typical of late Crimean Khanate hammered coinage, with individual letter groups stacked vertically across the flat, unadorned field. The coin's irregular planchet and characteristic flat strike reflect the hand-struck production methods of the Bakhchisaray mint. |
