| Obverse description | Irregular hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend disposed across the field, reading the name and titles of Khan Mengli I Giray. The inscription, rendered in a bold cursive Naskh hand, is divided by a horizontal rule separating the upper and lower lines of text. The coin's irregular planchet and somewhat off-centre strike are characteristic of Crimean Khanate hammered coinage of the late 15th century. |
