| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend arranged in horizontal registers within the field, framed by a dotted or beaded border following the irregular coin edge. The legend reads 'Timur Khan Gurkan / Mehmed son of Bayezid Khan / May God perpetuate his reign,' acknowledging the suzerainty of Timur (Tamerlane) while naming Mehmed Çelebi as issuing prince. The script is executed in a cursive Naskh style typical of early Ottoman hammered coinage. The overall design is epigraphic, with no figural or decorative motifs. |
