| Obverse description | Arabic legend in multiple lines occupying the entire field of this small hammered silver akçe, bearing the Sultan's tughra-derived inscription with the regnal formula. The legends are struck in relief on an irregular flan typical of Ottoman hammered coinage of the mid-17th century. The script is densely arranged with characteristic calligraphic flourishes, filling the available die space. The coin exhibits the uneven surfaces and planchet irregularities consistent with hand-hammered production at a provincial mint. |
