Reverse description Latin legend IIII VIR arranged in two lines across the field, separated by a horizontal bar, referencing the magistracy of the quattuorviri, the four-man board of local magistrates responsible for the issue. The characters are crudely rendered in raised relief on a plain, unprepared field. The flan edges are notably irregular with pronounced scalloping, consistent with the roughly cast and hammered planchets of small provincial bronzes from Gallia Narbonensis in the late Republican period.
