| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, depicted in three-quarter view from the front, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder over scale armor. The imperial effigy occupies the full field of the flan, conveying a commanding martial presence characteristic of Severan provincial coinage. The Greek legend encircles the bust along the periphery. A small suspension hole is visible at the lower edge of the flan, indicating secondary use as a pendant or amulet in antiquity. |
