Reverse description Caracalla standing left in a four-horse chariot (quadriga), holding a long sceptre in his left hand; to the left, a soldier advances left with head turned right, bearing a vexillum (military standard); in the background, a tall trophy mounted on a pedestal is flanked by two bound captives seated at its base, evoking a triumphal military scene. The composition is rendered in the monumental style characteristic of large civic bronzes from Lesbos under the Severan dynasty. The reverse legend, divided across the field, names the local strategos responsible for the issue.
