| Obverse description | Draped bust of Kore Soteira facing right, her head corn-wreathed in the manner of a chthonic deity, adorned with a necklace; the portrait is assimilated to that of Faustina II, conferring an imperial resonance upon the divine effigy. The encircling legend identifies the deity as the saviour goddess of the Cyzicenes. The bust is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Asia Minor bronze coinage of the Antonine period. |

| Reverse description | Commodus, bearded and clad in military dress, stands facing at centre, his head turned to the left, holding a spear in his right hand and a sword in his left. He is flanked by the turreted Tychai of Smyrna (left) and Cyzicus (right), each standing facing and holding a long transverse sceptre, and each extending a wreath to crown the emperor in a gesture of civic homage. The composition emphasises the homonoia between the two cities under imperial patronage. The reverse legend names the strategos Naibios Quintus and identifies both cities. |
