| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, presented in three-quarter rear view, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and the cuirass articulated in relief. The portrait displays the characteristic heavy features of the emperor, with a short beard. A circular beaded border frames the type, and the Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the field. A small hole is present at the lower left, consistent with ancient suspension use. |
