| Obverse description | Radiate and draped bust of the emperor Trebonianus Gallus facing left, presented in three-quarter view from the front, with drapery over the left shoulder and a balteus (military sword-belt) crossing the chest. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Phrygian civic coinage of the mid-third century. The obverse legend encircles the bust, identifying the emperor by his full titulature in Greek characters. |
