Reverse description Three deities of healing arranged across the reverse field. To the left, Hygieia stands facing right, extending a patera toward a serpent coiling upward to feed from it. At centre, Asclepius stands facing with head turned to the left, his right hand resting on a serpent-entwined staff (the kerykeion of medicine). To the right, the chthonic healing deity Telesphorus stands facing, depicted in his characteristic short, hooded cloak. The Greek dedicatory legend occupies the field around the figures, identifying the issuing city of Nicaea.
