Obverse description Confronted busts of Maximinus I, laureate, draped and cuirassed, facing right and seen from the rear, and Maximus Caesar, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed, facing left; the two effigies are juxtaposed at center field. The imperial legend encircles the busts, naming both rulers in Greek script, with their respective titles abbreviated.

Reverse description Sarapis, standing left, clad in long robes, extending a patera over Cerberus seated at his feet to the left, and holding a long sceptre in his left hand; to the right, Isis stands facing left, holding a sistrum in her raised right hand and a situla (basket) in her left hand. The composition presents the Alexandrian divine couple in a formal, hieratic arrangement. The reverse legend in Greek names the local magistrate and civic identity of Hadrianeia.
