| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of the Emperor Gallienus facing right, depicted in three-quarter front view, with the imperial paludamentum visible at the shoulder. | Reverse description | Homonoia (Concord) type reverse featuring two standing figures facing one another: at left, Mên, depicted in Phrygian cap with crescent on his shoulders, holding a sceptre in his right hand and a pine cone in his left; at right, Tyche standing frontally with head turned left, holding a ship's rudder in her right hand and a cornucopiae in her left. The reverse legend, divided around the field, records the homonoia alliance between the cities of Bagis and Temenothyrae. The composition celebrates the civic concord between the two Lydian communities. |
