| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valerian I facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Lydian mint at Daldis. The emperor's paludamentum is visible over the cuirass, and the portrait conveys the authoritative military bearing typical of mid-third-century Roman provincial coinage. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy in the field. |
