Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, with the cuirass decorated with a relief depicting Helios (?) driving a biga to the right, holding a shield and possibly a spear, rendered in frontal view. The imperial effigy is portrayed in the conventional Roman provincial style, with finely articulated drapery over the shoulder. A partially legible Greek legend encircles the bust.
