| Obverse description | Confronted busts: laureate and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right, facing the draped bust of Julia Domna to left. The two imperial effigies are rendered facing one another in a symmetrical composition typical of provincial civic coinage celebrating the reigning emperor and empress. The surrounding legend identifies both rulers in Greek script, occupying the full field around the busts. |

| Reverse description | A hexastyle temple depicted in frontal elevation, its six columns framing a cult statue of Apollo of Grynium standing facing within the intercolumniation, head turned to left, holding a patera in one hand and a laurel branch in the other. The architectural rendering reflects the importance of the oracular sanctuary of Apollo Grynios, closely associated with the region of Myrina in Aeolis. The Greek legend naming the local strategos and the civic ethnikon is distributed around the temple facade. |
