| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Marcus Aurelius facing right, depicted with a long beard and flowing curls characteristic of his mature portraiture, wearing a cuirass, the bust presented from a rear three-quarter perspective. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the bold, high-relief provincial style typical of Lydian civic coinage of the Antonine period. A beaded border frames the design. The obverse legend in Greek characters runs around the periphery of the flan. |
