Obverse description Draped and cuirassed bust of Lucius Verus, seen from the rear, facing left, wearing a laureate wreath and paludamentum over cuirass. The imperial portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Ephesian bronzes of the early joint reign. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Greek characters, identifying the emperor by his Augustan titles.
