| Reverse description | Homonoia type depicting two facing cult statues in the field. To the left stands the cult statue of Artemis Ephesia, shown frontally, wearing a kalathos (polos crown), her body adorned with multiple breast ornaments and supported by lateral supports, flanked by two stags at her sides. To the right stands the cult statue of Apollo Didymeus of Miletus, nude and facing, holding a stag in one hand and a bow in the other. The reverse legend ΕΦΕϹΙΩΝ Β ΝΕΟΚ ΜΙΛΗϹΙΩΝ ΟΜΟΝΟΙΑ proclaims the concord (Homonoia) between Ephesus, twice-neokoros, and Miletus, reflecting the formal civic alliance between the two cities. |
