| Reverse description | Youthful Dionysus standing facing, head turned to the left, holding a cantharus in his right hand extended over a panther at his feet, and a long thyrsus in his left hand. The god is depicted nude or semi-draped in the Hellenistic tradition, a composition common to Dionysiac iconography on Carian civic bronzes. A multi-line Greek legend filling the field identifies the local magistrate and the issuing city of Alabanda. |
