| Obverse description | Confronted busts: laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, jugate with the draped bust of Plautilla facing left. The two effigies are presented face-to-face in the characteristic provincial 'confronted busts' arrangement, a format popular in Carian civic coinage of the Severan period. The obverse legend encircles the busts, identifying both imperial figures. |
