| Reverse description | Zeus Panamaros, the principal deity of the Stratonicean sanctuary, depicted on horseback advancing to the right, clad in military attire and holding a long sceptre upright in his right hand. To the right of the horse stands a flaming altar. The composition is characteristic of the cult imagery associated with the great Panamareia festival celebrated at Stratonicea. The reverse legend naming the local magistrate and the civic ethnic of the Stratoniceans runs around the periphery of the field. |
