Reverse description The cult statue of Artemis Leukophryene, the principal deity of Magnesia ad Maeandrum, is depicted facing, flanked by two eagles and crowned by two small Nikai standing on either side. To one side stands Tyche, facing left, holding a rudder and cornucopia as symbols of fortune and civic prosperity. The composition reflects the strong local religious identity of Magnesia, with the cult image of Artemis Leukophryene rendered in the canonical frontal xoanon style typical of the city's coinage. The reverse legend records the name of the local magistrate (grammateus) responsible for the issue.
