Obverse description Laureate, nude bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, with an aegis on the left shoulder, rendered in the confident provincial style characteristic of the Alexandrian mint. The imperial effigy displays carefully engraved hair beneath the laurel wreath, with sharp facial features in profile. The Greek legend is disposed around the bust within a beaded border, partially visible on this irregular flan.
