| Reverse description | Tetrastyle temple depicted in frontal elevation with four columns and a distinctive arcuated lintel, a hallmark of Aphrodisian civic coinage. Within the temple cella stands the cult statue of Aphrodite of Aphrodisias, facing right, wearing the kalathos and holding what appears to be a flower or similar attribute. Behind the goddess, a priestess is shown seated to the right, while a small unidentified object or cult plan appears in the foreground. Above the temple, a star and crescent moon are placed on either side, emphasizing divine and celestial associations. The reverse legend names the issuing city in the genitive plural, encircling the architectural design. |
