Reverse description The Judgement of Paris on Mount Ida, rendered in a multi-figure mythological composition. To the left, the three goddesses — Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite — stand in sequence; at the feet of Aphrodite, Eros stands left with one foot resting upon a rock. Above and to the right, Paris reclines against a tree in a pose of contemplative repose. The scene reflects the local pride of Scepsis in its association with the Trojan mythological cycle of Mount Ida. The reverse legend identifies the issuing city and its regional identity.
