Obverse description Confronted busts: laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right, the cuirass adorned with a gorgoneion, facing a laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Geta to left. The two imperial effigies are rendered face-to-face in a jugate or antithetic arrangement typical of provincial coinage issued to honor co-ruling members of the Severan dynasty. The obverse legend ΑΥ ΚΑΙ ΛΟΥ ΓΕΤΑϹ runs in the field, identifying the younger prince Geta.
