Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip I (the Arab) facing right, depicted with characteristic broad features. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Mysian civic coinage, with paludamentum visible at the truncation. The circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, reading ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΙΟΥΛ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with mid-third-century provincial bronze production.

Reverse description A two-horse chariot (biga) facing left, with a standing male driver holding the reins; the horses are rendered in fine provincial relief with one foreleg raised. A tall torch or standard rises prominently in the center between the horses. The surrounding Greek legend reads Ε ΑΥ ϹΩΚΡΑΤΟΥϹ ΑΡΧ Α across the upper field and along the sides, with ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟΘ(ΕΡΑΙΤΩΝ) inscribed in the lower exergual area, citing the magistrate Sokrates and the city of Hadrianotherae. The type is consistent with civic games or agonistic festival imagery associated with the local cult.
