The portrait exhibits the characteristic mid-Antonine style, with finely rendered hair and beard detail. The legend is disposed around the bust within a beaded border. The inscription ΑΥ ΚΑΙ ΜΑΡ ΑΥΡΗ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙ ΑΥΓ identifies the emperor as Autocrator Caesar Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus.
