Reverse description Dionysus, the god of wine, strides dynamically to the left in the field, his figure rendered in the Hellenistic tradition characteristic of Pergamene provincial coinage. He holds a cantharus (wine cup) in his extended right hand and a thyrsus (fennel-staff wreathed with ivy) in his left. A panther, the sacred animal of Dionysus, crouches at his feet. The multi-line Greek legend naming the local strategos and the civic ethnikon of Acrasus is distributed around the reverse field.
