| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, depicted from the rear in the so-called back-view convention typical of eastern provincial coinage. The radiate crown with elongated spikes frames the imperial effigy prominently. The obverse legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The coin surface shows significant wear and patination consistent with a circulated provincial bronze. |
