Reverse description Homonoia type depicting two civic cult images in juxtaposition: on the left, the frontal cult statue of Ephesian Artemis (Artemis Ephesia) shown in the characteristic rigid, multi-breasted hieratic form; on the right, Asclepius standing facing right, holding a serpent-entwined staff (caduceus-style rod). This pairing symbolises the concord (homonoia) between the neocorate cities of Pergamum and Ephesus. The reverse legend, running around the field, names the presiding magistrate Sextus Claudius Silianus and the two cities.
