Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the distinctive provincial style of the Alexandrian mint. The emperor's effigy displays a wreath of laurel leaves secured about the head, with finely engraved beard and hair typical of his portraiture. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust within the field, reading from upper left around the periphery. The flan shows characteristic irregular edges consistent with Alexandrian bronze coinage of the period.
