| Reverse description | Tyche, the city goddess of Cyme, depicted standing in full figure facing left, draped in a long chiton and himation, wearing a kalathos (modius) upon her head as an emblem of civic fortune. She holds a long rudder in her right hand, symbolizing guidance and destiny, and a cornucopia in her left, representing abundance. The dedicatory Greek legend ΙΕΡΩΝΥΜΟϹ ΑΝΕΘΗΚΕ ΚΥΜΑΙΟΙϹ — recording that a benefactor named Hieronymos dedicated this issue to the people of Cyme — runs around the periphery of the field. |
