| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of the bearded Demos of Laodicea facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style with curling hair and short beard, traces of drapery visible at the truncation. The portrait occupies the central field with a circular Greek legend surrounding the effigy. The modelling is characteristic of Phrygian civic bronze coinage of the Antonine period. |
