Obverse description Laureate bust of the emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. The portrait displays the emperor's distinctive features with a radiate laurel wreath crown, the aegis serving as a divine attribute befitting the imperial effigy. The Greek legend surrounds the bust along the outer field, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is broad and irregular, typical of Alexandrian nome coinage of the Trajanic period.
