| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, the effigy rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style with the imperial wreath clearly discernible despite heavy wear. The Greek legend is disposed around the bust in the upper field, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is characteristically irregular in shape, as typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period. |
