| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style. The portrait, though somewhat worn and difficult to read due to corrosion and surface patination, displays the characteristic features of the emperor's effigy as adopted in Egyptian coinage of the period. The surrounding legend in Greek characters runs along the coin's periphery. The flan is noticeably irregular in shape, consistent with Alexandrian bronze coinage of the early second century AD. |
