Reverse description Heracles striding left in a dynamic pose, the hero nude but for the Nemean lion skin draped over his left arm, his right hand grasping the knotted club. Before him stands a tree around whose trunk a serpent is coiled, a scene likely referencing the garden of the Hesperides. The encircling legend names the local strategos and records Pergamum's twice-neocorate status.
